La Mirada HS: Helped the team win the Suburban League title as a senior and he qualified for the CIF Prelims… Posted a personal best time of 15:57 over a three-mile course… Earned their Most Valuable Runner as a sophomore and was the Rookie of the Year his freshman season… While on the track and field team, he finished second at the league championships in the 1600 meters (4:34) and qualified for the CIF Prelims… Also competed in the 400 meters (54.0), 800 meters (2:05.0) and 3200 meters (10:21.0)… Was a member of the cross country and track and field teams for four years…..

Personal: Most memorable moment in cross country was when he broke the 16-minute mark for the first time over a three-mile course and the Apache Invitational in his sophomore year, and when he posted his personal best time of 4:34 in the 1600 meters… Would like to transfer to any Cal State or UC school and aspires to be a teacher... His brother Gabriel (46) competed in basketball and track and field at Cathedral High… Hobbies include playing the guitar… Has another sibling – Appalonia (21)… Is the son of Gabriel and Jeanette Calderon… Born in Bellflower, CA on August 7, 2001…
