In a season where the Cerritos College wrestling team placed fourth at the CCCAA State Championships and second at the Southern California Championships, the team had four members earn Academic All-American honors. Led by two-time state placer Wyatt Gerl, who was an All-American at 157 pounds as a sophomore, the Falcons also saw 141-pounders Nick Camacho and Devin Daugherty and 149-pound Jesus Baeza earn the post-season award for their excellence in the classroom.

Gerl, who posted a 3.64 GPA as a pre-dental major, is a two-time Academic All-American selection. He finished third at the state championships at 157 pounds and concluded the season with a 31-5 record. He won the Southern California championship as a sophomore  As a freshman, Gerl took fifth at 149 pounds at the state championships and placed second at the SoCal Championships. His brother Caleb was a two-time Academic All-American (2008-10), while Bronson earned Academic All-American honors in 2009-10.

As for the freshman Camacho, who earned a 3.22 GPA as a math major, he went 28-14 on the year and qualified for the state championships at 141 pounds, where he finished in fifth place. Camacho also took fourth place at the Southern California Championships. Daugherty earned a team-best 3.65 GPA as a business major and finished the season posting a 10-8 record at 141 pounds, while going 7-6 competing at 149 pounds. Earning a 3.16 GPA in kinesiology, Baeza went 8-14 his sophomore year at 149 pounds, while he was a combined 5-7 his freshman season.

The four All-Americans under head coach Donny Garriott now gives him a total of 28 in his 12 seasons at the helm.
