Cerritos College Wrestling (2021): Went 21-4 on the year at 165 pounds, came in third place at 165 pounds at the CCCAA State Championships and earned All-American honors… Reached the quarterfinals, but after a loss, came back to win his next two matches… Won the Southern California Regional championship… Won the championship of the West Hills Tournament, while he also reached the finals of the Fresno City Tournament and took fourth place at the Santa Ana Tournament…..

Rowland HS: High school is located in Rowland Heights… Was a state qualifier after winning the CIF championship and Valle Vista League title at 152 pounds as a senior… Placed eighth at the Masters Meet… As a sophomore, he was a state qualifier at 132 pounds and was voted his team’s Most Valuable Player… Spent three seasons on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was winning the CIF Championship with a broken ankle… Would like to transfer to any school that offers a scholarship and aspires to be an athletic trainer… His brother Diego (17) is on the football team at Walnut High… Hobbies include collecting hats and Legos… Nicknamed “Mando”… Is the son of Mario and Nancy Murillo… Born in Bellflower, CA on February 25, 2001…..
