In her one season with the Cerritos College women's soccer team in 2018, Sydney Carr made an impact that may not be experienced ever again in the program's history. Coming to the Falcons from UC Irvine, Carr tied the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) state record for goals in a season (47) and set a new record for most points (114) in a season. She also broke the school record for goals in a season and was rewarded by being named the United Soccer Coaches Women's Soccer National Player of the Year among Division III (non-scholarship) schools. She was also voted the South Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year with the Falcons.

Sydney Carr was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Year Carr signed a scholarship with Division I Seattle University in hopes of continuing her offensive output. But an injury on her first day of conditioning with the Redhawks put an end to her 2019 season, while Covid-19 stalled her comeback. But once Carr was healthy and back on the field, she did what she does best - score goals. She led the nation with 16 goals and 38 points through 17 matches during the season. She had three hat tricks this season, including a four-goal, two-assist performance against Chicago State on March 18 and finished with 17 more points than any other WAC player this season.

While with the Falcons, Carr scored at least one goal in an amazing 20 games in a row. She had 14 multiple-goal games, which included scoring four times in five games and also produced three double-digit scoring games. Carr also had a six-game streak where she scored at least two goals. A fine passer, Carr also dished out 20 assists including a season-high three helpers in two games.
