In their second of four South Coast Conference tri-meets, the Cerritos College women's swimming team was defeated by both of their opponents on Friday. The Falcons (1-3) were defeated by host Mt. San Antonio College, 216-61, while they suffered a 167-91 loss to El Camino College. The team will travel to East Los Angeles College next Friday to take on the host Huskies and Pasadena City College at 12:30 p.m. in another conference meet.
On the day, Cerritos posted five overall third places, with the 200-yard medley relay recording a time of 2:16.42 and consisted of freshmen Jackie Oliveros (Gahr HS), Isabella Sierra (California HS), Lindsay de Haas (Hacienda Heights Wilson HS) and Elisa Prohroff (Schurr HS).
Prohroff turned in three individual third place finishes including a time of 28.80 in the 50-yard freestyle, and was just edged out of second place overall by Mt. SAC's Breanna Delgadillo and her time of 28.59. In the 200-yard freestyle, Prohroff posted a third place time of 2:14.26, while she was clocked in 6:10.48 in the 500-yard freestyle. Also coming in third place overall was Sierra in the 100-yard breaststroke with a clocking og 1:23.62.
