Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2018): Placed eighth in the hammer (29.84 meters) and discus (30.82 meters) at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the shot put (9.38 meters), and javelin (16.71 meters) during the season…..

El Rancho HS: While on the track and field team, she received the Coaches Award as a senior after picking up the Rookie of the Year Award her junior season and Most Improved Award as a freshman… Specialized in the discus (98’ 9”) and shot put (29’ 11½”)… Helped the team win the league championship her sophomore season and finished second in the discus… Was a member of the track and field team for four seasons and was on the basketball team for two years and cross country team for one season…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she turned in her personal best marks at the same track meet… Is working on a minor in kinesiology and aspires to be a sports psychologist… Her father was a four-sport athlete at Jefferson High… Has two siblings – Wendy (18), who is on the cross country, tennis and track and field teams at El Rancho High and Angel (16), who is on the football and track and field teams… Nicknamed “Em”… Is the daughter of Reese and Miriam Salcedo… Born in Huntington Park, CA on March 9, 1999…..
