The Cerritos College volleyball team evened their South Coast Conference record at 3-3 after their 25-21, 25-20, 20-17 win over host Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday. The Falcons (4-10 overall) will now host Mt. San Antonio at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Gahr HS.

In the win over the Seahawks, Cerritos turned to sophomore Latia Peters (Hesperia HS), who pounded home 15 kills, with 10 players posting at least one kill on the night. Freshman setter Aniga Aiono (Lakewood HS) was nearly perfect on the night, claiming five kills on seven attacks, while dishing out 22 assists. Her only misstep was her service, while sophomore Gloria Chang (Bellflower HS) made up for Aiono by posting five service aces and added six kills in the back row.

Both Andrea Garrett (Cerritos HS) and Chelsea James (La Mirada HS) added three kills, while five other players contributed a pair of kills. Freshman Ashley Castro (Santa Fe HS) led the back row with eight digs, with freshman Susan Suski (Cerritos HS) adding six digs and two kills. Seldom used Jasmin Mitchell (Bellflower HS) and Stephanie Ortiz (Huntington Park College Ready Academy HS) both posted a pair of kills, while Ortiz also recorded four digs.
