The Cerritos College volleyball team was able to sweep Los Angeles Harbor College in less than an hour on Friday at The Aviary. The Falcons (9-7, 2-1) dispatched the Seahawks (0-7, 0-3) in 58 minutes, posting a 25-11, 25-9, 25-17 victory. The team will play their next two matches on the road, starting with a 6:00 p.m. conference match at Pasadena City College on Wednesday.

With such a lopsided win, Cerritos used all of their players on the roster, and saw 12 of the 13 players record at least one kill. The Falcons jumped out to early leads in each of the first two sets and took advantage of LA Harbor's poor set reception, as well as their negative hitting percentage. Three service aces for the Seahawks in the third set allowed them to take an early 4-1 lead, but Cerritos took the lead at 8-7 and never looked back.

Sophomore Nicole Spigner (La Mirada HS) led the team with nine kills and nine digs, with freshman Kayley Stephens (Cypress HS) accounting for seven kills in the win. The bench combined for nine kills, led by sophomore Tisha Lenon (Gahr HS), who posted three kills, while they also received three service aces from freshman Rocio Rojo-Perez (Bellflower HS).

Sophomore setter Natalie Caravantes (Baldwin Park HS) dished out 29 assists and also had six digs and two service aces, while freshman Monica Vega (South Gate HS) added four kills, eight digs and two service aces. Sophomore libero Jasmine Peralta (Lakewood HS) contributed in the win with three kills, four services aces and six digs.
