Set to being her second season as a member of the coaching staff is Katie (Bos) Roberts, who spent 2011-16 as the head coach at Mayfair High School. In addition to her high school coaching experience, Roberts has also served as the coach of the Carmel Beach and New Wave Volleyball Clubs.

A graduate of Mayfair High, where she was a three-time 1st Team all-league selection, Roberts also led the team to three straight league titles and was voted the school’s Athlete of the Year as a senior. Roberts went on to Cal State University, Monterey Bay where she was a record-setting defensive specialist. She set the single-season digs record (518) her freshman year, while her 1,377 career digs was also a school record.

Roberts, who is also a part-time faculty member at Cerritos College, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from Cal State University, Monterey Bay in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Cal State University, Long Beach in 2012.

Roberts and her husband Jeremy have a two-year-old son (Liam), are expecting their second son in August, 2020 and reside in Long Beach.
