Cerritos College Baseball (2013): Appeared in 21 games and made 14 starts, including 10 at first base… Batted .216 (11-for-51) with three triples, one home run and eight RBI… Went 2-for-3 with a triple, home run, hit by pitch and three RBI in a game against ECC Compton Center… Also collected a pair of hits and two RBI against Cerro Coso and had two hits against Citrus…..

California HS: Voted the Del Rio League Player of the Year as a senior after batting .349 with two home runs, 13 doubles and two triples… Helped his team to a pair of league titles… Also named 1st Team all-league and was named his team’s Most Valuable Player… Earned 2nd Team all-league as a junior when he hit .312 with 10 doubles and was a 1st Team pick as sophomore after batting .400 with 12 doubles and three home runs… Team voted him their Player of the Year as a freshman when he hit .420 with 15 doubles, four home runs and three triples…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he went 4-for-4 with a home run and double against Whittier High… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Hobbies include playing baseball… Nicknamed “Mikey”… Is the son of Michael and Sandy Esparza… Born in Whittier, CA on August 16, 1994…..
