El Rancho HS: Was a two-time 1st Team All-Del Rio League selection and voted his team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and junior… Qualified for the CIF Prelims in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.08), 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay as a senior… In his junior year, he won the league championship in the 100-yard breaststroke and made the CIF consolation… Also swam the 50-yard freestyle (23.69) and 100-yard freestyle (53.27)… Advanced to the CIF Prelims in the 200-yard medley relay as a freshman… While on the water polo team, he scored 108 goals with 37 steals his senior year after being voted the team’s MVP as a junior… Accounted for 86 goals and 22 steals that season…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he turned in his personal best times at the league championships during his senior and junior years… Would like to transfer to USC and aspires to be an ophthalmologist… His older brother, Miguel Quijada (23) was a member of the Falcon swimming and water polo teams… Hobbies include playing video games… Is the son of Francisco Guzman and Martha Rivas… Born in San Salvador, El Salvador on September 30, 1993…..
