Cerritos College Men’s Swimming (2022): Competed in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.77), 100-yard butterfly (1:08.37) and 200-yard backstroke (2:28.92) during the season…..

Cerritos College Men’s Water Polo (2022): Named All-American, 1st Team All-Southern California and was voted the South Coast Conference Co-Most Valuable Player… Also named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year… Led the team in goals (88), assists (69), exclusions drawn (81) and was third in steals (42)… Led the state in exclusions drawn, finished fourth in assists and was 10th in the state in goals scored… Concluded his career in the top 10 in seven categories… Ranks third in career exclusions drawn (124), fifth in career goals (177), fifth in career assists (111) and tied for eighth in career steals (104)… Also ranks third in single season exclusions drawn (81), sixth in single season assists (69) and 10th in single season goals scored (88)… Had a slow start to the season and had just two goals through the first 13 games of the year… Posted a season-high eight goals against El Camino College and scored six times in three other games…  Had a season-high five assists against both the UC San Diego Club team and Riverside City College… Registered a season-high four steals against both the Arizona State Club team and Chaffey College…

Cerritos College Men’s Water Polo (2021): Earned All-American and 1st Team All-Southern California recognition, while he was also a 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection… Played all 31 games and led the team with 89 goals, which was the 12th most in the state… Also had 42 assists and a team-high 62 steals, which was tied for the eighth most in the state… Was second on the team with 42 exclusions drawn and led the team with 15 blocks… Scored a season-high eight goals against Redlands University and posted six goals against Long Beach City College… Recorded at least three goals in 19 times… Had a season-high four assists against Sierra College and turned in six steals against Rio Hondo College and San Diego Mesa College… Drew six exclusions against Long Beach City College in one game and five in another…..

Cal Baptist Men’s Water Polo (2020): Spent the season as a red-shirt…..

Schurr HS: Voted the Almont League Most Valuable Player in water polo, 1st Team All-CIF and his team’s MVP two seasons in a row… Helped the team advance to the CIF Division II championship game… Was a four-time 1st Team all-league selection and his team’s Most Valuable Player two years in a row… As a senior, he accounted for a team-high 90 goals to go along with 46 assists and 80 steals… Registered 67 goals, 57 steals and 20 assists during his junior year… While on the swimming team, he competed in the 100-yard freestyle (57.0) and 100-yard backstroke (1:10)… Was coached by current Cerritos women’s water polo assistant David Argumosa and former Cerritos player and assistant coach Luis Flores… Was a member of the water polo and swimming teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he scored the game-winning goal in an upset playoff win over Long Beach Wilson High… Would like to transfer to any school that offers a scholarship and aspires to work for border patrol… His sister Danielle (27) played water polo at UC Davis and Loyola Marymount University, while his brother Ian (25) played water polo at the University of LaVerne… Hobbies include water polo and going to the gym… Nicknamed “Dom”… Is the son of Jose and Norma Hernandez… Born in Los Angeles, CA on June 25, 2002…..
