On Friday, the Cerritos College men's swimming team compiled 50 team points at the Golden West Invitational, which put them in seventh place overall. Next up for the Falcons is their South Coast Conference opening dual, as they travel to Long Beach City College for a 10:00 a.m. meet on Friday.

Earning the most team points on the day for Cerritos were their relay races. They opened the day by earning seventh place points in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:56.30. That foursome consisted of Timothy Robles, Ruben Martinez, Ruben Montoya and Diego Campos. Their best overall finish was in the 800-yard freestyle relay, as Brandon Alcala, Martinez, Johan Gaytan and Declan Nelson checked in with a sixth place time of 8:41.27.

Additionally, Campos, Robles, Montoya and Nelson recorded a seventh place time of 1:39.29 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The final relay team of the day was the 400-yard medley relay team that earned seventh place team points. The time of 4:22.77 was turned in by Robles, Campos, Montoya and Martin Gonzalez.

In individual races, Montoya came in sixth place in the 50-yard butterfly (27.55) and 20th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.45. As for Campos, his time of 23.01 in the 50-yard freestyle earned him a seventh place results, while he checked in with a 13th place time of 52.21 in the 100-yard freestyle. Martinez posted the eighth fastest time in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 32.35, while his time of 1:10.14 put him in 10th place in the 100-yard breaststroke. Robles also swam the 50-yard breaststroke and his time of 33.63 put him in 13th place, with Campos earning a 13th place result in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:10.46.

Competing in the 100-yard backstroke, Gayton finished in 14th place at 1:06.60, with Ramos coming in 18th place at 1:11.34.
