Birmingham HS: Was a four-time league champion in the long jump and triple jump, while he won the 110-high hurdles three seasons in a row… Also won the City Championship in the high jump and triple jump as a senior and reached the State Championships… Led his team in most points scored four seasons in a row… Posted personal best results in the long jump (22’ 8”), high jump (6’ 8”), triple jump (47’ 2”) and 110-high hurdles (14.8)… Was also a member of the cross country team…..
