Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2022): Finished in 159th place at the Southern California Championships with a time of 25:03.6, while his time of 29:31.1 put him in 55th place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Placed 228th at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a clocking of 33:07.1, while at the Manny Bautista Classic, he finished in 153rd place in a time of 26:48.8… Came in 36th place at the Coach Downey Classic in a time of 26:54.2, while his time of 26:33.6 put him in 201st place at the SoCal Preview Meet… Was 114th at the Fresno Invitational in a time of 30:02.2 and opened the season at the Redlands Invitational with a time of 26:17.0, which put him in 99th place…..

Norwalk HS: While on the track and field team, he helped them win the league championship as a senior… Specialized in the 110-meter HH (17.13)… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a senior on the cross country teams and posted a personal best time of 17:02 over a three-mile course… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore… Spent four seasons on the cross country and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted his personal best time at the Woodbridge Invitational as a junior… Would like to transfer to UC Irvine… Aspires to be a family and relationship therapist… Hobbies include cooking and going to concerts… Nicknamed “Oscar”… Has two siblings – Isiah (29) and Cynthia (26)… Is the son of Jose and Michelle Ortiz… Born in Cypress, CA on January 3, 2004…..
