California HS: Qualified for the CIF Championships as a senior and junior, while he was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior…Was a member of the Del Rio Cross Country League championship teams as a sophomore and junior… Named the team’s Rookie of the Year as a sophomore… In track and field, he holds the school record in the three-mile (14:59), two-mile (9:24), and 800 (1:55) meters...Won the league championship in the 800 meters and 1,600 meters his senior year... Named Whittier Daily News Athlete of the Year... Earned his name to the Honor Roll all four years…..
