California HS: Helped the team win the Del Rio League championship, while he was a two-time All-CIF selection… Earned the Coaches Award as a senior and their Most Improved Award his junior year, while being the captain both seasons… Recorded a personal-best time of 15:58 over a three-mile course….. While on the track and field team, he was a member of two league championship teams, while he placed second two years in a row in the 3200 meters (9:51)… Earned their Most Improved Athlete Award as a freshman… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:08) and 1600 meters (4:41)… Spent four seasons on the cross country and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he broke the 10-minute mark in the 3200 meters, the 16-minute mark in cross country at the league finals and when he placed in the top 10 at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational… Would like to transfer to the University of Tennessee, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Irvine or Cal State Long Beach… Aspires to be a firefighter… Hobbies include playing video games… Nicknamed “Jake”… Has one sister – Samantha (16)… Is the son of Stephen and Rebecca Cosio… Born in Downey, CA on September 13, 2004…..
