In their final game of the season, the Cerritos College women's basketball team suffered an 86-54 loss to host El Camino College on Friday night. The Falcons (10-18, 5-5) ended the season with their first losing season since the 2005-06 season and only their third in the last 32 years.

Facing the division champion Warriors (15-10, 9-1), Cerritos fell behind early and spent the entire game fighting to get within striking distance. They were behind, 19-11 after the first quarter and trailed, 43-24 at halftime.

They were able to limit their turnovers (14), but converted only 19-of-58 shots (32.8%), and connected only just three three-pointers. Sophomore Kaylyn James (Lakewood HS) concluded her Falcon career with 10 points and two steals, while freshman Alexis Clark (Mayfair HS) led the team with 12 points on the night.

El Camino was too strong underneath and were aided by Kayla Bibb (18 points) and Meghan Peneueta (16 points, 10 rebounds), while two players added double-digit scoring off the bench.

Joining James with 10 points was freshman Angie Ferreira (Long Beach Millikan HS), while Crystal Rodriguez (El Rancho HS) finished with nine points and nine rebounds. Off the bench, freshman Alondra Calderon (La Serna HS) posted six points, four rebounds and two steals.
