Los Alamitos HS: Won the Sunset League championship at 170 pounds as a senior and was a CIF finalist and Masters Meet qualifier… Was a CIF qualifier as a junior and sophomore, while he won the league championship as a freshman… Placed fourth at the Freakshow Tournament at 70 pounds… Spent four years on the wrestling team, as well as a season on the football and volleyball teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was going undefeated in his home team’s gym all four seasons… Would like to transfer to either Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or Cal Baptist University… Aspires to be a lawyer… Both siblings were high school and college athletes… Hobbies include reading comics… Nicknamed “Mando”… Has two siblings – Rene (27), who will be his teammate this season, and Ocean (24)… Is the son of Rene and Annabel Sandoval… Born in Paramount, CA on August 15, 2002…..
