Downey HS: Competed at 195 pounds as a senior and went 6-2… Placed fourth at the Clash at Bullhead at 195 pounds… Did not have a junior season due to Covid-19… Posted a 12-4 mark at 195 pounds his sophomore year and was a member of the San Gabriel Valley League championship team his freshman year… Went 5-1 at 220 pounds that season… Spent four seasons on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he competed in the Five Counties Tournament… Hobbies include playing baseball… Aspires to work in sports management… Has one sibling – Stephen (27), who was a member of the Cerritos wrestling and baseball teams… Is the son of Stephen and Monica Chavez… Born in Inglewood, CA on August 4, 2004…..
