Maywood Center for Enriched Studies HS: Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior after placing second at the regional tournament and fifth at the Arroyo Classic Tournament… Also came in second place at the LA City Regionals at 126 pounds and had to withdraw due to an injury forfeit in the finals… While on the cross country team, he placed 17th at the league championships after coming in eighth place his junior year… As a member of the track and field team, he placed second in a meet in the 3200 meters and fifth place in the 1600 meters… Competed in five sports…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he was able to compete in both wrestling and cross country with a knee injury… Is working on a minor in architecture… His father competed in soccer, gymnastics and karate while in school… Hobbies include playing chess… Has one sibling – David (16)… Is the son of Noel Cruz and Ofelia Martinez… Born on October 1, 2005…..
