With a team full of all new players, the Cerritos College women's soccer team is still working towards everyone learning their role on the squad. On Friday, the Falcons dropped their second game of the season, as Chaffey College came away with a 3-0 non-conference decision. Things don't get any easier for Cerritos, as they host perennial state power Santiago Canyon College in their home opener next Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in another non-conference game.

Still looking for that player to step up as a finisher, the Falcons missed out on several scoring chances against the Panthers (2-1-0) and trailed 3-0 by intermission. They continued to push on offense and recorded four shots on goal, with freshman Destiny Castro (Montebello HS) accounting for two of them.

With the defense playing a more solid game, sophomore goalkeeper Anahi De Leon (Lynwood HS/East Los Angeles College) was able to turn away 10 of the 13 shots she faced.
