With their convincing 7-2 non-conference win over Ventura College, the Cerritos College women's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season. The Falcons will now travel to Grossmont College on Tuesday for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match.

The day opened with the Falcons winning two of the three doubles matches, with a key 8-6 win coming in the top position with sophomore Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS) and freshman Stef Flores (Golden Valley Charter HS). The pairing of sophomores Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) and Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) remained undefeated on the season after their 8-1 victory.

In singles play, Judan secured her top spot in Southern California after handing Yannick Garcia a 6-3, 6-2 setback, with Cerritos also posting three other straight set victories. Ilagan (6-0, 6-1) and Perez (6-1, 6-1) had easy wins in the #4 and #5 positions, respectively, with freshman Nina Pacquing (Cabrillo HS) coming away with a 6-3, 7-5 win. In the #6 position, sophomore Staci Gonzales (Vista del Lago HS) finished off the day with a come-from-behind 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 win.
