Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2023): Came in 10th place in the hammer (43.11 meters) at the 3C2A State Championships after finishing sixth place at the Southern California Championships and third at the South Coast Conference Championships… Took ninth place in the shot put (11.07 meters) at the SoCal Championships and second place at the conference championships… Qualified for the SoCal Championships in the javelin (24.76 meters)… Also competed in the discus (30.43 meters)…..

Cypress HS: Specialized in the shot put (33’ 1”) and discus (87’) in her one season on the track and field team… Was a three-time 2nd Team All-Empire League selection in water polo and helped them to the CIF Semifinals as a senior… As a member of the swimming team, she competed in the 50-yard freestyle (25.73) and 100-yard freestyle (59.85)… Helped all three teams to the league championship as a senior and the water polo and swimming team her junior and freshman seasons… Qualified for the CIF Prelims her senior and freshman seasons…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she posted her personal best distance in the shot put and then went to her swim meet on the same day… Is working on a minor in Psychology… Would like to transfer to any college that offers a scholarship and aspires to work in the athletics field… Her aunt competed in water polo at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won a Gold Medal, while her uncle played in the NFL… Hobbies include reading… Nicknamed “Mel B”… Has two siblings – Rocco (17) and Georgi (13)… Is the daughter of Josh and Mary Burdett… Born in Anaheim, CA on September 9, 2004…..
