Although they had their best finish in the South Coast Conference since 2006, the Cerritos College volleyball team was left out when the 16 teams were announced for the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Falcons (14-8, 11-3) came in second place, but it was their lack of non-conference victories that was detrimental in not being selected. The team's only non-conference win over a team over .500 was against Victor Valley College, who was seeded #11 and were 1-4 against teams that made the playoffs. Cerritos has not made the playoffs since the 2009 season.

The SCC also made their all-conference selections and six Falcons were honored. Sophomores Jasmynne Roberts (Long Beach Poly HS) and Michelle Barba (Downey HS) earned 1st Team recognition, while sophomores Sara Hickman (La Mirada HS) and Jasmin Mitchell (Warren HS) garnered 2nd Team accolades. Named honorable mention were freshman Jasmine Peralta (Lakewood HS) and Lisa Villarroel (Long Beach Millikan HS/LBCC).

Roberts finished the season leading the team in kills (377) and digs (297), while she also added 24 blocks. Her kills total ranks her seventh on the school's single-season list, while her digs puts her eighth on that list. Barba, the team's setter, ended the year with 606 assists, 35 service aces and 134 digs. Hickman was second on the team with 224 kills and was effective in the back row with 239 digs, while Mitchell posted 94 blocks on the year to lead the team. That total is 12th on the school's single-season list, while she also had 103 kills.

Peralta, the team's libero was second on the team with 286 digs and also added 36 assists and 32 services aces, while Villarroel was third on the squad with 155 kills and second on the team with 66 blocks and led the team with 35 service aces.
