Hosting Victor Valley College in a non-conference match on Wednesday, the Cerritos College volleyball team turned in a quick 25-8, 25-11, 25-14 victory. They will host rival Long Beach City College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the school will also host a pre-match celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX. The team never trailed on the night and went on to post a season-best .463 kill percentage. Six players had a positive kill percentage, with Sierra finishing with an impressive .714 hitting percentage.

Portillo finished the night with nine kills, while Erykah Scott (Bellflower HS) posted a season-best eight kills with just one error. Along with her two aces and five digs, Gutierrez concluded with seven kills, with the duo of sophomore Sonye Garcia (Paramount HS) and freshman Kira Magdaleno (Artesia HS) each adding five kills.
