Hosting the freestyle Cerritos Open for the second year in a row, the women's wrestling team finished in third place. The Falcons finished with 104 team points and were one of 14 colleges that participated. The team will travel to Fresno City College on Thursday for a 5:00 p.m. dual match.

As a team, Cerritos had one second place finisher, while they had a third and fifth place finisher, along with five wrestlers coming in sixth place.

At 101 pounds, freshman Rebekah Jimenez (Lawndale HS) opened with a bye before pinning Viviana Davalos of Vanguard University in 46 seconds. After earning a 10-0 technical fall win over Olivia Atkins of Ottawa University to advance to the championship match, she was pinned in 1:27 by Abbeygael Cabaug of Vanguard University. The night before in their dual match, Cabaug pinned sophomore Jessica Hong (Western HS). Sophomore Natalie Resendiz (El Toro HS) opened her day at 155 pounds by registering a 10-0 technical fall win over Kalei Sodaria of UNLV before getting pinned in 1:16 by Jessica Mendez of the Arizona State University Club team. In the consolation round, Resendiz pinned teammate Natalie Flores (Downey HS) in 4:37 before capping off her day with a pin over Hailey-Ja Omoso of Simpson University in 1:59 to secure third place.

Freshman Vida Beckel (Cypress HS) dropped her first match of the day when she was pinned by Vanguard's Abena Adu in 5:53. The night before, Beckel pinned Adu in 1:13 in their 170-pound match during their dual match. Beckel followed that by posting wins over Gailiea Garcia of East Los Angeles College by pin in 1:59 and then recorded a 10-0 technical fall over teammate Liliana Reyes (Paramount HS). Beckel suffered her second loss of the day when she was pinned in 3:51 by Nikita Dhaliwel of Menlo College and ended her day in fifth place after pinning Jessica Mendieta of Menlo in 4:07.

Those who came in sixth place included 101-pound Ahome Sordo (Paramount HS), 109-pound Lucy Guadarrama (Orange HS), 123-pound Denise Figueroa (Mayfair HS), Flores at 155 pounds and 235-pound Nova Gallegos (Carson HS).
