In their first match on the road, the Cerritos College women's wrestling team made the most of their trip, as they shut out Fresno City College, 54-0. The team will take a week off before traveling to Bakersfield College on February 29 for a 7:00 p.m. dual.

The Falcons benefitted by receiving three forfeit wins, while the team recorded pins in the six matches that took place.

At 116 pounds, sophomore Lucy Guadarrama (Orange HS) held a 5-0 lead in the first period over Emily Cano before finishing her off with a pin in 2:20. Freshman Denise Figueroa (Mayfair HS) was leading 5-4 in the third period in her 128-pound match before a three-point takedown against Jasmine Estrada ended in a pin with 40 seconds left in the match.

It took freshman Giulianni Garcia (Alta Loma HS) just 20 seconds to pin Allyson Garcia at 136 pounds, with both 180-pound Nile Jernigan (Corona HS) and 220-pound Nova Gallegos (Carson HS) also needing less than a minute to secure their pins. Sophomore Natalie Flores (Downey HS) was extended into the third period before her pin at the 5:30 mark.
