Continuing their offensive output, the Cerritos College men's basketball team just missed out on hitting the century mark in their 99-53 South Coast Conference South Division win over visiting El Camino College on Friday night. It was the third win for the Falcons this month where they scored over 90 points, as they improved to 15-5 overall and 2-0 in divisional play. The team will now host Compton College at 5:00 p.m. next Wednesday.

Coming out firing on all cylinders, the Falcons scored their first five buckets to start the game from three-point range. It allowed them to open up an early 15-5 lead, as they cruised to a 58-22 lead by halftime. Cerritos converted 10 of their 16 three-pointers on the night in the first half, with freshman Jeremiah Galang (Narbonne HS) and sophomore Christian Alvis-Labadie (Whittier Christian HS) each accounting for three each, while sophomore Cody Wilkes (La Mirada HS) hit a pair.

All 12 players in uniform got in on the action, with four players ending the night in double-figures. Wilkes (20 points, four rebounds, three assists), Alvis-Labadie (14 points, four assists) and Galang (12 points, five rebounds) each hit four three-pointers in the win. Along with their hot shooting, it was the team's rebounding that also allowed them to post the win, as the Falcons out-rebounded the Warriors, 51-26.

Freshman Chance Hunter (Inglewood HS), who posted 11 points, led the team with nine rebounds, while freshman Daelyn Bams (Villa Park HS) and sophomore Austin Freeman (Rancho Dominguez Prep HS) came off the bench to combine for 13 caroms, while Bams also added six points and four blocked shots.
