Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2016): Qualified for the Southern California Prelims in the shot put (10.57 meters) and hammer (38.54 meters) after coming in fifth place in both events at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also compete in the discus (26.06 meters) during the season…..

Pius X HS: Won the Santa Cruz League championship in the shot put (33’ 4”) and discus (85’) as a senior and junior… Went undefeated in league competition both seasons and qualified for the CIF Prelims… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player twice and Rookie of the Year her junior year when they won the league championship… Also competed on the soccer team for two seasons…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when she turned in her personal best in the shot put… Would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton and aspires to work at Funimation or Viz Media… Hobbies include watching anime… Nicknamed “Jo”… Has one sister – Kathleen (24)… Is the daughter of Mike and Susan Marquez… Born in Glendale, CA on August 10, 1997…..
