M. Water Polo: Falcons post non-conference win

Squeezing in a non-conference game during an opening in their South Coast Conference schedule, the Cerritos College men's water polo team posted a 14-10 win at Los Angeles Valley College on Friday. The win by the Falcons improved their season record to 15-4 and it was their fifth win in a row. They will now enter the Riverside Tournament, which will take place next Friday and Saturday.

In the win over the Monarchs, Cerritos had five different players score two goals, with sophomore Christian Flores (Montebello HS) leading the way with four goal, to go along with two assists and two steals. Freshman Miguel Garcia (Montebello HS) was one of the five players to score twice, but also accounted for four assists and four steals in the win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Skinas (La Serna HS) turned away nine shots and added a pair of steals, while the quartet of TJ Tigerina (Bell Gardens HS), Christian Cordova (Montebello HS), Albert Kim (Cerritos HS) and Rafael Romero (Montebello HS) all scored two goals.
