Criss Freeman

In his first season on the Cerritos College men’s basketball coaching staff, Criss Freeman comes in with over two decades of coaching experience. Freeman spent 16 years coaching at Mt. San Antonio College, with five of those as the head coach, while he has also spent two years at Costa Mesa High. Additionally, Freeman spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Pasadena City College, as well as the head coach in the Fila Summer Pro League for two seasons and eight years in the Drew League’s Summer Pro League.

Freeman was an All-South Coast Conference player at Mt. San Antonio College (1990-92) and then transferred to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he earned all-conference recognition as a senior in 1994. He went on to play professionally in Mexico, Australia and the Philippines. Freeman was a two-time all-league selection at Baldwin Park High and earned 2nd Team All-Valley honors as a senior.

Freeman earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1994.

Freeman, 45, lives in Rialto and has two children, Lauryn (5) and Landon (3).
