Now in his third season with the Cerritos College men’s basketball coaching staff is Joel Rosborough. Prior to coming to the Falcon staff, Rosborough spent the 2010-12 seasons as the head coach at Long Beach Jordan High, while he was their assistant from 2002-11. He also served as an assistant coach to Russ May in 2001 at Los Alamitos High.
As a player, Rosborough played on a CIF Championship team at Long Beach Jordan High in 1991 and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. He also was a Best in the West selection on the football team that same year, as well as an All-State and All-Moore League selection, as the team won the league title. Rosborough went on to play football at the University of Washington and was a member of their National Championship team as a freshman.
Rosborough earned his Bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University in 2012 in Liberal Arts. Rosborough, 42, is single, has two daughters (Shaniel and Shalore) and resides in Long Beach.
