El Rancho HS: Scored a team-leading 108 goals as a senior, while adding 45 steals and 24 assists to earn 1^st Team All-Del Rio League honors… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player two seasons in a row… Spent four years on the water polo and swimming teams… While on the swim team, he was a CIF consolation finalist for the 100-yard backstroke as a senior after winning the consolation championship as a junior… Also qualified in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay… Named 1^st Team all-league two years in a row and was voted the team’s MVP both seasons… Won the league championship in the 100-yard backstroke as a junior and was a CIF finalist in the event… Posted personal best times in the 50-yard freestyle (23.67), 100-yard freestyle (53.12), 50-yard breaststroke (28.89), 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.08) and 200-yard IM (2:16.08)…..
