Gahr HS: Selected his school’s Athlete of the Year as a senior… Earned the Captain’s Award as a senior and junior, while he received the Coaches Award his sophomore season and voted their Most Improved Player as a freshman… Spent four years on the water polo and swimming teams… While on the swim team, he was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and also garnered the Captain’s Award as a senior and junior… Reached the CIF finals in the 50-yard freestyle (22.80), 100-yard freestyle (49.58), 200-yard freestyle (1:55.00) and 500-yard (5:04) freestyle his senior season… Advanced to the final in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle his junior and sophomore year, while he was in the finals in the 100-yard freestyle as a freshman… Voted their Most Valuable Swimmer as a sophomore…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he scored 17 goals in a game against Alhambra High and 16 goals against Pioneer High during his senior season… Hobbies include fixing cars and making music… Has one sister – Kimberly (12)… Is the son of Fernando and Sandra Lua… Born in Paramount, CA on December 16, 1994…..
