Carson HS: Selected to the City All-Star Team after coming in second place at the CIF Championships at 126 pounds… Posted a 33-9 record and was named his team’s Most Valuable Player… Helped the team to three straight Crosstown League championships… Came in second place at the Rim of the World Tournament and earned a third place finish at the San Fernando Tournament, Tournament of Champions and Long Beach Poly Tournament… Went 12-6 on the year at 126 pounds and placed third at the CIF Championships… Spent four years on the wrestling team and one season on the swimming team… Swim team reached the CIF semi-finals his junior season…..
