Artesia HS: Placed third at the Suburban League Championships at 138 pounds as a senior and won the district champion by going 5-0 in one day… Voted his team’s captain… Spent his first two years on the wrestling team at Long Beach Wilson High before transferring to Artesia High for his final two seasons… Also spent one season on the football team…..
