San Pedro HS: Competed at 197 pounds during his senior and junior years… Came in second place at the City Championships and Santiago Classic at 197 pounds… Took fifth place at 197 pounds in the City Championships his junior year… Spent two years on the wrestling and football teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he defeated an opponent that he had lost to the last time they met… Would like to transfer to the University of Guelph… Is working on a minor in forestry and aspires to be a forest ranger…  Nicknamed “Valentine”… Has three siblings – Ivan, Rory and Daniel… Is the son of Wayne and Annorette Ballentyne… Born in Long Beach, CA on October 4, 1995…..
