Now in her second season as a member of the Cerritos College volleyball coaching staff, Rebecca Hicks has also served as the head coach for Protégé Volleyball club team for two years. A three-year lettermen at Hope International University, Hicks saw her playing career come to an end due to an injury. In her junior season, she appeared in just 15 matches before. Prior to her injury, Hicks played in all 24 matches in her sophomore season and finished with 47 kills and 32 digs. She opened her collegiate career by appearing in 30 matches and posted 70 kills with 60 digs and 10 blocks.

A graduate of Victor Valley High, Hicks was a two-time All-Desert Sky League and All-Area as she guided her team to a league championship as a senior. During her career, she also received ESPN Athlete of the Week recognition. A three-sport athlete, Hicks also played on the softball and basketball teams. She was a member of the Principal’s Honor Roll for four years and was named her school’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hicks earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management with a minor in Biblical Studies in 2015. Hicks, 22, is single and lives in Victorville.
