Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Helped the team finish sixth at the State Championships by coming in 111th place and posting a time of 22:03.63… Came in 20th place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 20:45.79 as the team won the championship… Posted a time of 22:18 at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational to finish in 46th place, while his time of 26:30.6 at the Grand Canyon Invitational put him in 35th place… Finished in 26th place at the Lou Vasquez Invitational with a clocking of 21:24.40, while his time of 22:10.20 at the Coast Classic Overflow put him in fifth place overall… Placed 73rd at the Mark Covert Classic with a time of 27:34.7…..

Lakewood HS:
While on the track and field team, he was named their Distance Runner of the Year and specialized in the 1600 meters (4:35), where he came in fifth place at the Moore League championships… Named the cross country team’s Most Valuable Player all four seasons… Posted a personal best time of 15:35 over three miles in his senior season… Spent four years on the cross country, track and field and soccer teams…

Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he turned in a time of 15:40 at the Woodbridge Invitational his sophomore year… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… His brother Chris (22) competed in track and field at UC San Diego… Likes to play soccer in his spare time… Is the son of Wilmer and Eva Pleitez… Born in Long Beach, CA on July 29, 1994…..
