Huntington Park HS: Won the Eastern League championship in the 400 meters (52.6) as a senior, while also competing in the 200 meters (23.6)… As a junior, he ran a leg of the league champion 4x400-meter relay (2:33.56) team and helped the team go undefeated in league meets… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Athlete his sophomore year and led the team to the league championship… Spent three years on the track team and two seasons on the cross country squad… Posted a personal best time of 16:37…..
