Cerritos College Track & Field (2013): Came in 15th place in the Southern California Decathlon with 5340 points, while he came in fourth place in the javelin (50.80 meters) at the Southern California Championships and qualified for the SoCal Prelims… Posted personal best marks in the 100 meters (11.94), 400 meters (52.03), 1500 meters (4:39.29), 110-meter HH (18.04), 400-meter IH (1:01.65), high jump (1:59 meters), pole vault (2.90 meters), long jump (5.76 meters), shot put (10.58 meters) and discus (30.51 meters)…..

La Mirada HS:
Named All-Suburban League as a senior and competed in the 400 meters (50.8) and 800 meters (2:00)… Won the league championship in the 800 meters as a senior… Helped the team win the league championship his junior season and was voted the league’s Co-Most Valuable Player and his team’s Most Valuable Player… Placed third in the league in the 400 meters… Also competed in the 300-meter IH (40.2) and 1600 meters (4:57)… Spent four years on the track and field team, three seasons on the football team and one on the cross country team…..

Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he set the meet record in the 4x800-meter relay Co-Ed and distance medley relay at an invitational… Hobbies include surfing… Nicknamed “Jake the Snake”… Is the son of Chuck and Sally Ostgaard… Born on December 14, 1993…..
