Downey HS: Was a member of the cross country, track & field and soccer teams… Helped the cross country team win the San Gabriel Valley League championship as a sophomore… While on the track team, he competed in the 400 meters (51.75), 800 meters (1:58) and 1600 meters (4:35)… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a member of the 1600-meter relay team his senior season… Team won the league title his junior year and he qualified for the CIF Prelims after coming in third place at the league finals in the 800 meters… Reached the league finals in the 800 meters as a sophomore and freshman…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted a time of 1:59 in the 800 meters as a junior… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Fullerton or UC Irvine… His father played soccer in high school, while his sister Elvira (20) was on the track team… Hobbies include playing soccer… Nicknamed “Puga”… Has two other siblings – Stephanie (16) and Paola (6)… Is the son of Humberto Puga and Maria Garcia… Born in Paramount, CA on January 13, 1996…..
