Cerritos College Track & Field (2015): Came in 10th place at the Southern California Championships in the 3000-meter steeplechase after placing sixth at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:07.36), 1500 meters (4:13.17) and 3000 meters (9:37.28)…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2015): Competed at the CCCAA State Championships and posted a time of 22:15.3 to place 107th after recording a time of 22:44.51 to come in 105th place… His time of 25:00.6 at the Brubaker Invitational to come in 65th place, while he came in 65th place in 23:15.1 at the Golden West Invitational… At the SoCal Preview Meet, he placed 66th in 22:41.4, while his time of 22:16.4 earned him 45th place at the Fresno Invitational… Came in 85th place in 27:55.43 at the Mark Covert Invitational…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2014): Placed 47th at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 23:38.78, while he posted a time of 23:03.5 to place 63rd at the Brubaker Invitational… His time of 31:12.78 earned him a 32nd place at the Grand Canyon Invitational, while he led the team at the SoCal Preview B Meet with a 15th place finish in 23:02.8… Posted a time of 23:52.71 at the Fresno Invitational for a 45th place finish and earned 74th place in 30:28.3 at the Mark Covert Classic…..

Chino HS: Posted a personal best time of 16:20 over a three-mile course while on the cross country team… Was a three-time All-Mt. Baldy League selection on the track team and earned their All-Around Most Valuable Player Award as a senior… Specialized in the 800 meters (2:03), 110-meter HH (16.47), 300-meter IH (41.0) and pole vault (11’ 6”)…..Was an all-league selection four years in a row… Helped the cross country team win the league title as a sophomore and was voted the team’s Most Improved Runner as a freshman… Spent four years on the cross country and track and field teams, along with three years on the soccer team and one season on the water polo team…

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he recorded his best cross country time at the CIF Prelims as a sophomore and his personal best marks in track and field… Would like to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and aspires to be an architectural engineer… Hobbies include hanging out with his friends… Has four siblings – Hugo (26), Andrew (23), Crystal (15) and Ruby (10)… Is the son of Alejandro and Victoria Rios… Born in Pasadena, CA on February 14, 1996…..
