Ventura College: Attended the school, but did not compete in track and field…..

Ventura HS: Was a three-time All-Channel League selection and earned All-CIF honors as a senior and junior… Qualified for the State Meet after placing second at the Masters Meet in the pole vault (15’ 6”)… Also competed in the high jump (6’ 6”), 200 meters (23.3) and 400 meters (50.1)… Spent four years on the track and field team and a season on the cross country team… Posted a personal best time of 17:10 in a 5K as a sophomore…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he cleared 6’ 6”) in the high jump and the County Championships and pole vaulted 15’ at the Mt. San Antonio Relays… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach and aspires to be a physician’s assistant… His father qualified for 1980 Olympics that the United States boycotted… Hobbies include hunting… Nicknamed “Chris”… Has one sibling – Shannon (24)… Is the son of Steve and Mary Lawry… Born in Ventura, CA on December 29, 1997…..
