Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2016): Posted a time of 22.17.4 at the CCCAA State Championships to finish in 121st place, while his time of 22.27.2 at the Southern California Championships put him in 88th place… Earned 59th place at the South Coast Conference Championships with his time of 23:03.3, with his clocking of 27:56.4 over the 8K course at the St. Joseph’s (NY) Invitational put him in 13th place… Came in 25th place with a time of 21:53.28 at the San Bernardino Valley Invitational, and finished 59th at the Fresno Invitational with a time of 23:29.8… His time of 21:24.0 at the Lancer Invitational put him in 51st place…..

Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2015): Competed in the CCCAA State Championships and came in 119th place with a time of 22:28.9, while he turned in a time of 22:17.33 for a 68th place finish at the Southern California Championships… His time of 25:41.6 at the South Coast Conference Championships put him in 40th place, while his clocking of 23:12.4 put him in 62nd place at the Golden West Invitational… Turned in a 22:25.3 clocking to come in 46th place at the SoCal Preview Meet, while his time of 22:01.7 at the Fresno Invitational earned him a 37th place finish… Opened the season with a time of 27:26.24 at the Mark Covert Open to come in 65th place…..

Downey HS: Won three San Gabriel League championships in both cross country and track and field… Specialized in the 800 meters (1:59), 1600 meters (4:29) and 3200 meters (10:22) while on the track and field team… Received the Coaches Award as a senior, while earning the Best Sophomore Runner and Best Freshman Runner while on the track and field team… Posted a personal best time of 15:56 over three miles and qualified for the CIF Finals…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he ran the mile in 4:29 at the Mt. SAC Invitational and the 800 in 2:02 at the Arcadia Invitational… Would like to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona and aspires to be either a teacher or counselor… Hobbies include sleeping and eating… Nicknamed “Lopez”… Has four siblings – Miguel, Brian, Brandon and Ashley… Is the son of Efren and Maria Lopez… Born in Los Angeles, CA on October 29, 1997…..
