Cerritos College Men’s Track & Field (2016): Tied for seventh place in the pole vault (4.50 meters) at the Southern California Championships after placing sixth at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 100 meters (13.11) during the season…..

Norwalk HS: Specialized in the pole vault (13’)… Earned All-Suburban League Academic honors four years in a row… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore and helped them win the league title… Recorded a personal best time of 19:18 at the Arcadia Invitational… Spent four years on the track and field and cross country teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he turned in his personal best height in the pole vault and took second place at the LA County Invitational… Would like to transfer to Concordia University… Aspires to be either a doctor or teacher… Three of his siblings competed in athletics in high school… Hobbies include playing sports and working out… Nicknamed “Nico”… Is the son of Robert and Mitzi Mendoza… Born in La Mirada, CA on September 30, 1991…..
