Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2016): Posted a 77th place time of 21:43.9 at the CCCAA State Championships, while his time of 21:52.4 earned him 59th place at the Southern California Championships… Finished in 23rd place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 21:05.1, while placing fifth at the St. Joseph’s (NY) Invitational with an 8K time of 27:24.3… Came in 21st place in a time of 21:31.11 at the San Bernardino Valley Invitational, with his time of 22:02.5 putting him in 24th place at the Central Park Classic… Was 74th at the SoCal Preview Meet with a time of 22:23.6, while he took 108th overall at the Fresno Invitational in a time of 22:22.7… Came in 32nd place at the Cal Baptist Invitational in a time of 20:31.0…..

Schurr HS: While on the track and field team, he specialized in the 400 meters (52.10), 800 meters (1:55.42) and 1600 meters (4:28.0)… Won the Almont League championship in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and ran a leg of the 4x400 meters as a senior and sophomore… Reached the CIF Finals as a senior and placed eighth… Helped lead the team to three straight Almont League cross country championships… Posted a personal best time of 15:20 over a three-mile course his senior year… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and sophomore… Spent three years on the cross country and track and field teams, as well as one season on the badminton team…..


Personal: Most memorable moment was when he ran the 800 meters with his brother in a home meet… Would like to transfer to UCLA… His mother ran track while growing up in Mexico… Hobbies include dancing and knitting… Has two siblings – Demian (17) and Beatriz (13)… Is the son of Pedro Sanchez and Francisca Lopez… Born in Lynwood, CA on June 11, 1998…..
