Gabrielino HS: Won the Mission Valley League championship in the 200 meters (22.64) and was a 1st Team all-league selection… Helped the team win the league championship… Finished second in the 400 meters (50.26) at the league championships and was a 2nd Team selection in the event… Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player… Also competed in the 100 meters (11.32)… Spent four years on the track and field team and three seasons with the basketball team…..
