Cerritos College Men’s Track & Field (2023): Placed eighth in the 800 meters (2:00.88) at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 400 meters (55.11), 600 meters (1:28.49) and 1500 meters (4:28.38) during the season…..

Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2023): Came in 82nd place at the South Coast Conference Championships in a time of 27:08.7, while his time of 26:26.4 put him in 133rd place at the San Diego Mesa Invitational… Posted a 28th place time of 26:37.5 at the Coach Downey Classic and finished in 84th place in a time of 25:53.9 at the Golden West Invitational… At the SoCal Preview Meet, he turned in a time of 24:46.9 to come in 175th place, while his time of 25:53.7 at the Oxnard Invitational put him in 98th place… Finished in 158th place at the Fresno Invitational with a time of 27:27.0…..

Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2022): Finished in 159th place at the Southern California Championships with a time of 25:03.6, while his time of 29:31.1 put him in 55th place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Placed 228th at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a clocking of 33:07.1, while at the Manny Bautista Classic, he finished in 153rd place in a time of 26:48.8… Came in 36th place at the Coach Downey Classic in a time of 26:54.2, while his time of 26:33.6 put him in 201st place at the SoCal Preview Meet… Was 114th at the Fresno Invitational in a time of 30:02.2 and opened the season at the Redlands Invitational with a time of 26:17.0, which put him in 99th place…..

Norwalk HS: While on the track and field team, he helped them win the league championship as a senior… Specialized in the 110-meter HH (17.13) and 300-meter IH (47.22)… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a senior on the cross country team and posted a personal best time of 17:02 over a three-mile course… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore… Spent four seasons on the cross country and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted his personal best time in the 300-meter IH… Would like to transfer to the Rio Hondo Fire Academy… Aspires to be either a firefighter or EMT… Hobbies include cooking, reading and going to concerts… Nicknamed “Oscar”… Has one sibling – Cynthia (28)… Is the son of Michelle Ortiz… Born in Bellflower, CA on January 3, 2004…..
